Lightness of touch...

...Maximum impact

Rubble of destroyed building

Haiti Relief & Redevelopment Fund

We leverage solutions that we know are already working

The scale of the Haiti earthquake was immense and devastating. Whilst the physical shocks have subsided, the personal, emotional and economic aftermath will continue for years.

We believe we can have a more significant impact on the aid effort by working with, rather than merely adding to, already crowded channels.

1. Immediate Relief

Tough Stuff - Solar power for developing countries

Eye witness account of the impact made by our first solar kit shipment to Haiti

In the immediate aftermath, we believe that by providing some new technology - solar powered lamps, battery radios and phone connectors - we can contribute to the immediate relief effort.

We have already delivered over 8,000 units.

Through our local partners in Haiti we know that that the products will reach the people for whom they are intended.

2. Long-term Rebuilding

Environment and Economic Empowerment Initiative in North Haiti

Our partners, Geneva Global, have been managing a strategic Initiative in North Haiti for two years.

To this end we will scale up our disbursements to local partners, to invest as much as, but not more than, they can absorb.

These are projects already underway and each is being closely monitored to ensure significant impact.
